andro i was at The Holistic Place today at Duxton Hill ( its a voucher given by the Fast Forward Member card, it is a discount card for Topman, Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Dorithy Perkins.) and when i reach there (with my mum, i had 2 coupons) all set and ready for the facial, eye treatment for eye bags and manicure (all for 80 bucks) and when i step in not long, fill out the particulars and everything.. they ask my mum "do you want eye brow shaping?" and my smart alex mum hasnt had too much experience at eye brow shaping, was not convinced. until they were saying her brows were messy and uneven, which is quite true. and so she accept that. and she ask the beautician, "what about her?" (while pointing to me) she said i was fine, just needed a little clearing up and she said my brows were pretty neat and nice. so i wasnt actually anticipating an eye brow plucking session la. Hence, i went through the facial, eye treatment for my dark rings and eye bags, and manicure (i chose the simplest and lightest colour because school's coming soon and i was so tempted to paint the red ones). and i even went through the scalp and shoulder massaging for 10 bucks. and you know if ur beautician never mentioned that she finish with her work, you never get up right? so yeah, i was there relaxing and thought more mask were to come and all (with my eyes open) THEN, i saw her armed with the tweezers!!!!! what else was she gonna do with that pair of tweezers beside plucking MY eye brows unless she is pluckin hers during MY facial session.. so she started plucking.. and plucking. then she asked "pain?" it was HELL ok. then i was like "quite ok" after came my mum's voice "eh, what are you doing now" so i replied " plucking the eye brows?" and guess what my mum was doing? PERMING her eye lashes. they were trying to psyco me into perming because i have quite long lash compared to most people.. but no, i decline safely. i was twisting and scrunching up on the bed but i tried to pin my body down and to effect (phew). but i was lying down, in my most relax mode. images flooding into my mind, my cousins's fiance asking me to go trim my brows because i had quite a nice shape and should make it nicer and THEN jolene came into my mind. she is all expert and natural at this so i asked my beautician "why women like to pluck their eye brows? it hurts like mad" she answered " oh, to make their eyes looks brighter and nicer looking since it isnt so messy and it's on the FACE" so yeah. i could feel the hair coming out of the pores. the way it clings onto my skin and the devil tweezer trying to detach it . my beautician trying to match my right brow to the left. i could see her calculaing which hair to pluck. which ones to go and which ones to stay. so there you go, my first plucking brows session. and guess what, when my brows get messy again, i am going back to pluck again. to put it short: i think i am addicted to it. analysis: it just makes me look better and nicer with this trimmed neat eye brows. and guess what she maintained my brows shape. which means she didnt really pluck a lot. conclusion: women will do anything to make them prettier looking. these all round down to: i'm into the sterotype of the womens' world. three letters: wth. four words: but i like it. and btw: andro is my new label and one more thing, i am moved to the new blog but i just dont know how to operate it. i see a preview post but where in the world is the publish post? shall go smirk around. | audio | urban exchange ft Azura : buzzin | 1:26 am powered by blogger |
